Stuart, Head of Business, recognises the value of Guest Delight, one of our 'Four Pillars' and putting our Guests at the heart of everything we do.
On his self-described, 22nd gap year, Stuart talks to us about his first year with Grange and how his teams focus on 'Guest Delight' has transformed an under-performing business.
"Hello. I am Stuart, the Head of Business for Grange in Tunbridge Wells, and I joined the group last year."
"I found myself working in the Motor Trade when I took a trainee sales role during my gap year before going to university and never really looked back…. I’m now on my 22nd gap year!"
"It was clear to me from the very start of joining Grange, having worked for other groups that the people and products here are different - in a good way! At Grange there is a culture that creates a sense of pride in each and every associate firstly but then there is a focus each day on 'Guest Delight'. That is one of the parent groups 'Four Pillars' of success that underpin their growth.
"Regardless of an individual's job role or location within Grange, within the businesses culture, there is a sense of ownership and autonomy that has allowed me as a Head of Business to transform what was a struggling business by re-focussing on giving our Guests an experience like no other so the comeback time and time again."
What do you like to do in your free time?

"In the last few years, I achieved a lifelong dream of building my own home."
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
"I can play the piano, and as a teenager, I would make some pocket money teaching younger children to play up to Grade 2."
What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
"A bedtime story with my youngest followed by a cold beer and some sport on TV."
What is your favourite all-time Bentley motor car out of interest?
