Service Manager, Emma, had no previous motor trade experience when she joined us but has quickly progressed to management with her team delivering a world-class guest experience

I started with Cambria 5 years ago with no previous motor trade experience but a strong retail background and a love of interacting with and helping guests. My colleagues were quick to help me out and build up my knowledge of vehicles and servicing requirements, combined with my previous customer service experience put me in a strong position to progress my career.

During the height of the pandemic our service manager left and I found myself unexpectedly running the workshop and getting a lot more involved in the day to day running of the department. I found this to be exhilarating and decided it was something I would like to do on a permanent basis. I never saw myself as a manager but found that the team rallied behind me and we were soon delivering strong results month after month.

A lot of people are still surprised to find a woman running a service department but with the team I have around me it's easy to excel. I love the atmosphere and the workshop banter and feeling like one of the lads, we all just chip in and get the job done.
